A paraffin wax "dip" or "bath" is a soothing treatment in which the hands are submerged in a warm mixture of paraffin, a petroleum-based wax and mineral oils. Paraffin wax has been shown to treat conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia among others. A wax treatment acts as a type of thermotherapy, or heat therapy, that helps treat these conditions by increasing blood flow, relaxing muscles and reducing stiffness in joints.

Prices are based on the client's finger or toe nails being in a reasonable state of upkeep at the start of the treatment. I can carry out remedial work as required to ensure you get the best possible finish, but please be aware that I may need to add a surcharge for the extra time that this will take.
